Chicago Interior Designer, Jordan Guide

Inspired by the shape of a Champagne Glass, Joel Escalona created the Santos Drinking Chair made of fiber glass.  I see a strong comparison to the famous Tulip style base by Eero Saarinen, as well as the shape of the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen.  Whether he had intended on morphing these two timeless designs or just happened upon them, the Santos proves to be fresh and inspiring.  Bravo, Joel.     – Jordan Guide Design

This was from Momento’s 2006 collection.  I liked it for the balance in visual weight of the soffit and scale vs. the proportions and horizontal lines of the supersized sofa.  The built in planter and entertainment center also hold their own in this open floorplan.
